iPhone 5 Broken LCD Price Drops 40-50%!
As many iPhone repair shops might not yet be aware, the price of iPhone 5 cracked glass with good LCD assemblies dropped between $15-$20 in the last few days.
Sources say the drop is due to China receiving parts to assembly 150,000 new iPhone 5 LCD screens from authorized Apple repair shops. Previously, Apple iPhone customers with screen issues while under warranty, or those who had Apple Care, received a brand new over the counter exchange.
In early June, Apple announced their Genius Bar techs would be fixing iPhone 5 LCD issues with a replacement LCD screen rather than an exchange for a brand new phone for $149.
With a moderate price point, retail repair centers located within a reasonable distance of an Apple Genius Bar should anticipate some fair competition. Likewise, the broken iPhone 5 LCD value is expected to drop several times over the next few weeks, and it is highly recommended that you sell these parts weekly to secure top dollar.
We’ll keep you posted on pricing updates over the next few weeks for refurbished iPhone 5 parts and as well as iPhone 5 broken LCDs.
